Domestic use of rattan is as old as human inhabitation of tropical forests around the world. These baskets, woven using the coil weave technique in the Northern Philippines, were originally used in the Igorot home for rice storage. Used now for storage and as side tables, these baskets are not only beautiful but also highly functional.
